ABOUT ADVERB
Adverb is an early-stage VC firm that invests in companies from seed to series A. Founded by April Underwood and Jessica Verrilli in 2024, the original website focused on telling a story about April and Jess' extraordinary backgrounds as operators and angel investors and communicating a promise of how they intended to show up for founders. After 18 months, Adverb had deployed capital into 30+ founders across 15 companies in a diverse set of industries from consumer, enterprise, biotech and moonshot frontier bets. It was time to refresh their narrative to a show don’t tell, highlighting the portfolio and platform.
